The Control Room and Recording Rooms at Sixteen Ton were designed by world renowned Studio Acoustian and Tom Hidley Protege' Michael Cronin of
Michael Cronin Acoustic Construction in Nashville, TN.
The Control Room has been custom tuned by
Bob Hodas Audio of San Francisco, California. Along with a vast assortment of the the finest vintage and new recording equipment, Sixteen Ton is home to the only Tube/Class A Hybrid console of it's kind in the world....The Dymaxion.

The console was custom designed and built in Los
Angeles, California, taking nearly three years
to complete, by Steven Firlotte, Ian Gardiner
and Danny White.
Beyond the equipment and the Rooms, Sixteen Ton has become one of the busiest rooms on Music Row primarily because of the aritsts, writers, and musicians that have chosen to create here.
The comfortable and laid back
vibe of the studio is also one of our best attributes.
The studio is within walking distance of all of
the major music industry businesses in town and a short drive or
walk to a vast number of hotels, restaurants
and clubs.
